I love painting and sketching, that process of making art from nothing... its the closest I get to meditation. And it's lovely. Think I'll go sketch something now :)
All of my current deviations are experiments in technique, medium and style. I have not yet found my niche and obviously I still have lots to learn. Likewise I am still getting used to deviantart and its social protocols, but I really do appreciate any comments, criticisms and (especially) artistic advice.

Well, kind of let this account go... I was seduced by that evil, square shaped mistress, Instagram (please forgive me for speaking it's name in the hallowed halls of DeviantArt).
I was using it to chart my development as an artist and showcase my work. It was awkward with those damned square boxes but simple to upload and came with an easy to download app... I'm not making excuses. Things happened.
But now I can use the DeviantArt app! Things can be as they should be! I can show my art here in all its rectangular glory, and use Instagram the way it was intended: for pics of my cats and dogs and the meals I eat.
I love you, DeviantArt app.

This is it. This is where I express my innermost thoughts, connect with like-minded people, grab the attentions of the online community, and become a well loved and admired member, a deviant of note, import and repute.
From this little box I must win over the web-weary surfer, focus their attentions on this page, make it stand out, catch their eye, make them think "yeah... this guy.. this guy right here...
